M.A.D. CTO Rob Smith to speak at SC World Congress NYC

Mobile Active Defense’s Rob Smith will be part of a panel at this years SC World Congress, to be held Nov. 10th-11th in New York City titled “Got iPhone?”.

The issues:
You’ve seen it over and over again in organizations. C-level wants an iPhone, an iPad, Droid, whatever. So now what? Our industry did a great job understanding the risk inherent in the use of smartphones when BlackBerry showed up, but cool and shiny new devices have clouded our judgment as to what that risk continues to be. What can you do about personal versus company devices? What are some best practice in this area?

Moderator: Illena Armstrong, Editor-in-Chief, SC Magazine

Panelists: Patricia Titus, VP and global chief information security officer, Unisys, Dr. Mustaque Ahamad, professor, College of Computing, and director, Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC) and Rob Smith, CTO Mobile Active Defense.

The track is scheduled for Thursday Nov. 11th at 2:30 – 3:20 PM

Mobile Active Defense will also be participating as a finalist in the Top-10 Throwdown nominated as one of “the most innovative security companies of 2010″ scheduled on Wednesday Nov. 11th at 5:45 PM.
