M.A.D. takes 2nd Place at Annual SC World Congress Security Innovators Throwdown

Mobile Active Defense, the Smartphone Security Company and its Mobile Enterprise Compliance and Security (MECS) Server Solution which secures mobile enterprises to the most stringent compliance and security standards was honored at the 2010 SC World Congress in New York City last week, with a very respectable and exciting 2nd place finish in the Security Innovators Throwdown, a competition designed to judge and recognize companies with the most robust business plans and tools.  The SC Magazine Throwdown honors the brightest information security companies that have recently launched,  during which leading young companies, chosen by SC Magazine, present their goals for their newly developed technologies or services before a judging panel of experts. The judges then determined just which vendors among the competitors have the most considered business plans and most robust tools that not only could garner interest from buyers, but also possible investment from venture capitalists (VCs).

The MECS Server is unique in its ability to truly lock down iPhones, iPads as well as smart phone and tablet devices, to the extent required by the security-aware and compliance regulated organization – while not changing the user experience or causing any noticeable latency whatsoever.  MECS  extends existing enterprise and network security policies across mobile platforms with complete encryption, granular firewall controls and a suite of anti-virus, malware, content filtering and device management tools.
