Taking the framework for security in mobile environment, adding the dimension of compliance and considering the technological issues all play important roles in successfuly addressing smartphones and tablets.

TechWorld writer Sophie Curtis, writes in a recent article “The ‘consumerisation of IT’ has been identified by analysts as a key trend for the coming years, yet many IT managers feel they lack the necessary tools to properly manage personal devices.” and referenced the Gartner Inc., MDM Report which gave Mobile Active Defense and it’s Mobile Enterprise Compliance Security (MECS) solution one of the highest overall scores in its “various use cases” study. Gartner first looked at 60 vendors within the MDM industry and then studied 13 in-depth. One of the key findings in a global study by Citrix mentions that many small and medium businesses are being held back by the security implications of employees using personal devices for business.
